Description
The Children's Discovery Museum project seeks to create a unique science & technology centre for families and young people.
HMS Discovery at The Rocks Discovery Museum is a fun-packed, interactive learning experience involving a simulated 1792 ship’s deck and wharf area. Willing and able crew are required for the voyage of HMS Discovery from Plymouth, England to Sydney Cove.
It is four years after the first fleet arrived in Sydney and the new colony’s crops are failing so they need supplies from England. HMS Discovery’s ‘crew’ will be briefed by the captain to help stock the ship with stores for the colony and unravel the challenges of life at sea as they navigate the journey from Plymouth to Sydney Cove.
